How to Fish a Hybrid Craw: Tips for Bass Anglers

Why This Craw Gets Bit
Most craw baits lean on profile alone — flat claws, a static body, nothing more. The Hybrid Craw stacks three trigger points on top of the profile:
- Ribbed body — displaces water and holds scent, giving bass more to commit to than a smooth-bodied craw.
- Flexible claws — flare and kick on the fall, mimicking a defensive crawfish backing away rather than a dead one sinking straight down.
- Fuzzy exterior + internal rattle — the fuzzy texture gives fish something natural-feeling to hold onto a beat longer, while the rattle calls fish in from a distance in heavy cover or off-color water.
- UV enhancement — keeps the bait visible in low-light and stained conditions when a plain craw color washes out.

How We Fish It
- Flipping and pitching: Drop it into heavy cover — laydowns, docks, matted grass — and let the claws do the work on the fall. Most strikes come as it settles.
- Dragging: Along rock, gravel, or clay bottoms, drag it slow and let the rattle and ribbed body work the whole way. This is the move when bass are keyed in on structure, not cover.
- Carolina rig: Drag it behind a Carolina rig on long points, ledges, and open bottom. The lead thumping ahead of the bait pulls fish in, then the rattle and claw action seal the deal once they close the distance.
Don't rush the fall. The claws and fuzzy texture are doing their best work in that window between contact and bottom.
